Still from HOLOCLOUDS (2025), a series of prismatic light projections cast onto canvas. Expanding Signe Pierce’s engagement with abstraction, these works appear painterly yet immaterial, their surfaces animated by drifting veils of violet, green, magenta, and electric blue. Pierce describes them as “inner iridescences”, or abstractions drawn from trance states. Evoking auroras, cloud formations, or shifting topographies, they envelop the viewer in an atmosphere that is both meditative and unstable, suggesting the fragility of perception itself, and our shifting, tumultuous times.
